About

Lyna Vuong is a Los Angeles-based food advocate and designer.  As a trained health-supportive chef, her work to foster healthier communities has encompassed many facets of food systems ranging from working on an organic permaculture farm, examining sustainable dining models within institutions at the Rome Sustainable Food Project, to consulting for the NYC Department of Education’s Garden to Cafe program. Lyna’s other passion is in design— her recent role includes working with public libraries across the country to envision, program, and design what it means to be a 21st century institution for the future. Lyna explores the intersection of food and design, and the ways that food issues can be creatively addressed to better serve communities.
